As the owner of Chalily I could never be biased of one employee over another. So it is without hesitation that I share with each of you the 16th Birthday of one of the top employees we have ever had. Chas Summers has worked at Chalily from before we even opened. See him painting when he was just 3!!! When he was about 10 years old he demanded that he be paid. I had to make a call to the Accountant to get him set up. Those ‘free’ seven years were good. During the early days of the Pandemic, he came to Chalily each day as the School was on remote classes.
It turned out that he would come into the store and clock in. He then went to the office and did school work. I had to explain this type of double dipping of your time wasn’t gonna work for me. I had to call the accountant again to adjust his time card. All kidding aside, Chas is a great worker and is always willing to help out when needed. He works in the heat, the cold, the wet and late into the night. This summer he worked full time and was a huge asset with some major projects in St. Louis and Florida. For Halloween at school this week he dressed as Joe from Chalily! We love you so much and wish you the best Birthday ever!!!
