INDIAN TACOS ARE VERY POPULAR AND THE NATIVES SELL THEM AT ALL THE POWWOWS. IT IS TRADITION MAKING THEM IN OUR HOMES. INSTEAD OF USING TORTILLAS, WE USE FRYBREAD.

FRYBREAD RECIPE:
2 CUPS ALL PURPOSE FLOUR
1 TEASPOON BAKING POWDER
3/4 CUP SUGAR
1/2 CAN PET MILK (OR SUBSTITUTIONS)
3/4 CUP COLD WATER
MIX ONLY FLOUR, BAKING POWDER AND SUGAR FIRST.
THEN MAKE A POOL IN THE MIDDLE AND ADD UR MILK AND WATER (ADDING ONLY HALF OF THE WATER AT FIRST) AND MIX WELL, THEN MIX ALL TOGETHER. YOU WANT YOUR DOUGH TO BE A PASTE BUT NOT TOO STICKY. MIX ONLY TIL ALL FLOUR IS STICKY
