Hospital hole is a fresh water sink with depth of about 120ft. Half way to the bottom is a cloudy layer of hydrogen sulfide that blocks light from penetrating to the bottom of the sink. This layer is created by the decomposition of organic materials that fall to the bottom of the sink.
