I debated long and hard about posting this video... or keeping it in the pocket for memory's sake only. Since you're reading this... you can tell what I decided. The truth is... I'm ok with how it all shook out. In case you weren't aware, back in March I entered my 2nd ever MX race at Dade City MX. I wasn't feeling good. Didn't have my head in the game. Rode horrible in practice. And was way too amped up going into moto #1. The first 3 laps weren't horrible. Was running a solid 4th (out of 9) and felt like I could make up time on the guy ahead... maybe hit podium. The track layout was all brand new and the jump faces were getting rutted fast. On this tabletop, which I had cleared the lap before, I went for it but was cross-rutted bigtime. In the air, my rear end is pitching to the right. Landed short. Bounded me over the bars hard. This was a good sized mount of dirt to fall off of. Landed with a direct hit to my left arm, shoulder, and the side of my head. Knocked the wind out of me. But I knew I was right in the middle of the track, on the downside of the jump. Bad place to be. I knew I had to hustle off the track but as I started to crawl... I knew something was wrong with my arm. The video shows the rest. I have to give a big shout out to the crew at Dade City MX and my good fried Cody for helping me out that night. I was at the track solo... so I ended up driving home with the bike on the trailer and my arm in a sling. Crazy. 9 months later now and I'm much better. Still slightly limited range of motion in the shoulder and still low on arm strength. But doing better. Bike and all my gear is now sold. I've officially closed this chapter and moved on. Speaking of which --- stay tuned to the channel. I'm prepping content for a new direction coming very soon. Will still be two-wheel related... just not on dirt. Anyway, as always, my biggest hope is that you’ve enjoyed watching these videos and that you would ‘like’, ‘comment’, and ‘subscribe’ to the channel. IF you already have… THANKS! YOU’RE AWESOME!
