This is the FIRST of 4 videos in a series that will show you not only how to install the Detachable Tour-Pak kit... but will take you through the variables so that you can decide on your own how you want your bike to look.
Total viewing time... 2.8 hours...! Why would you want to watch 2.8 hours of video? Because it will save you many days... maybe weeks... and it will also show you some ideas that you have not likely considered.
For me... this was a 4 1/2 week project... 3 weeks over the time that I had anticipated... because I had to wait for parts that I didn't know that I would need when I started.
This is a non-standard installation that is a bit more challenging than the typical Harley recommended installation... but it still utilizes Harley parts... so the result is not a Franken-bike... just a more up-to-date Ultra Classic made for touring... that resembles a modern Street Glide more than the standard design. Go through the video and make a list of the part numbers that you will need for your own design.

Note (07:50): I state that there was never a connector ever made to tap into the wiring harness for the rear fender... because I am talking about rear lights. There are connectors made to give you a 3-wire lead for the Tour-Pak when it is installed... but this does not give you rear lighting on the bike when the Tour-Pak is OFF. You need ALL SIX wires to run ADDITIONAL LIGHTING to the rear of the bike. There was never a part made for this. I think that the 6-wire, Y-Connector for newer bikes started in 2014.

Corrections:
@ 11:50 - Whatever preceded the American Molex connectors
@ 13:40 - Discouraging people from adding rear lighting
