When a flower doesn’t bloom, you don’t fix the flower, you fix the environment in which it grows. You make sure the soil has the right nutrients and it’s getting enough water.
The same goes with our businesses. When we don’t have enough clients or our clients aren’t purchasing from us as often as we’d like, we don’t fix our clients. We fix the the environment in which we nurture our clients. So don’t ask, “What’s wrong with our clients?”, instead ask how can we do a better job of nurturing the relationships that we have with our clients.
The bottom line is that our clients don’t need fixing. We need to do a better job of nurturing relationships. Because in the end… the success of our businesses depend on the relationships we build.
