"พระฤาษี" ในตอนนี้คือหลวิชัย ซึ่งตามมาช่วยชุบชีวิตคาวีหลังจากตอน "เผาพระขรรค์" และปลอมเป็นฤาษีเพื่อหาทางแก้แค้นท้าวสันนุราช
หลวิชัยลวงท้าวสันนุราชว่าจะทำพิธีชุบให้กลับเป็นหนุ่มเพื่อให้นางจันท์สุดารับรัก เมื่อสบโอกาสก็ผลักท้าวสันนุราชตกลงในกองไฟสิ้นชีวิต แล้วให้คาวีสวมรอยเป็นท้าวสันนุราชที่ทำพิธีชุบตัวสำเร็จกลายเป็นหนุ่มรูปงาม
เมื่อคาวีและจันท์สุดาได้พบกัน ต่างก็ชื่นชมโสมนัส แต่ไม่วายมีเหตุให้ขัดเคืองใจ เพราะความหึงหวงของนางคันธมาลี มเหสีท้าวสันนุราช ซึ่งเข้าใจว่านางจันท์สุดายอมรับรักสามีของตนที่ชุบตัวกลับเป็นหนุ่ม

This excerpt from the dance drama "Kavee, "known as "Queen Khanthamalee's Jealousy," was presented as part of a series about famous rishi (ascetics) in Thai literature by Master Seree Vangnaitham, National Artist of Thailand, and his troupe at the Bangkok Bank Musical Art Centre on July 24, 1987.

The rishi in this performance is Kavee's sworn brother Holvichai, who disguises himself as a sage in order to seek revenge for the foul plot against Kavee.

Having revived Kavee, Holvichai shrinks him to doll-size and takes him to his romantic rival King Sannuraj's palace. There the faux rishi talks the old king into a "rejuvenation ritual" which requires that Sannuraj be alone with him. Holvichai murders the old man, then has Kavee (restored to normal size) pose as a freshly rejuvenated Sannuraj.

The show opens with Kavee's reunion with his beloved Chansuda, who has been living in Sannuraj's palace following the burning of Kavee's magic sword (which resulted in his life force being extinguished) by an old woman seeking to curry favor with Sannuraj. The couple's joy is short-lived, however, as Queen Khanthamalee soon arrives intent on making a scene, believing that Chansuda has accepted her rejuvenated husband as her lover. Attracted to Kavee (who is impersonating Sannuraj), bitterly jealous of Chansuda and furious with Holvichai, the old woman is all sarcasm one moment, flying into a jealous rage the next. She eventually retreats, hurt and humiliated but still vowing revenge.
