Mercedes-Benz recently unveiled the 2024 E-Class Long Wheelbase (LWB) in India. The new model is not only longer than its predecessor but also comes packed with fresh features and an all-new design. The exterior gets updated styling elements, including new LED headlamps, tail lights, flush door handles, and 18-inch wheels. The standout feature is the extended wheelbase, now at 3094mm, which provides significantly more rear-seat space.

Inside, the E-Class LWB features advanced digital enhancements, including a 12.3-inch passenger display, a 14.4-inch infotainment system with the latest MBUX software, and a 12.3-inch digital cluster. Audiophiles will enjoy the 17-speaker 730W Burmester 4D Surround Sound system with Dolby Atmos. The air vents can now be adjusted both manually and digitally.

The new E-Class LWB is offered with both petrol and diesel powertrain options. The E 200 is powered by a 2-litre turbo-petrol engine with a 48V mild-hybrid system, producing 201 bhp and 320 Nm. The E 220d gets a 2-litre turbo-diesel engine, also with the 48V mild-hybrid system, generating 194 bhp and 440 Nm. Both variants can benefit from an additional 23 bhp and 205 Nm from the hybrid system. The starting price of the 2024 Mercedes-Benz E-Class LWB is expected to be ₹85 lakh (ex-showroom).
