With no need for a cargo area sleeping platform any longer it was time for a complete refresh.
Everything was torn out except for the upper storage shelf.
With the new addition of an #ironman4x4 13.3 gallon water tank, everything would need built around it.
A new floor plate was made and fitted to the contours of the area. An access panel was cut into the plate to allow for additional storage in the old home of the factory subwoofer that had been evicted on the initial construction. Plumbing for the water tank would be ran underneath the floor plate and around to the 12v water pump & pre-pressurized accumulator tank mounted on a custom fitted shelf. This shelf also had to be ported near the bottom to allow the refrigerator to breathe. The plumbing continued and turned downward into the rear tail light area exiting between the light & tailgate, terminating at an Aquor RV style stainless steel flush mount quick connect.
Power for the pump system was achieved by utilizing an Auxbeam RGB dual switch panel, with one mounted directly above the water quick connect port.
The refrigerator slide had to be trimmed slightly to allow for full tailgate clearance.
With all this finalized and in place, it was time to get measurements for the cabinet drawer system.
I am not a carpenter! 😂 It took me a long time to get all this done. For the drawers I took the Jeep to Creative Wood Works in Ashland, Ky. This business was started by my Grandfather, and continues to be operated by my cousins, aunt, uncles and my mom. ❤️
They created exactly what we needed and I couldn’t be happier with the results.
