The Good Jobs Challenge can provide funding for eligible individuals to help with removing barriers to learning new skills, gaining credentials or obtaining certifications. Employers can identify a cohort of employees seeking upskilling or commit to interview participants upon completion of their training.

LaRohn Latimer shared about Registered Apprenticeship Programs as a model for employers to recruit, train, and retain a highly skilled and diverse workforce. The components of a Registered Apprenticeship include employment, on-the-job training and mentorship, related "classroom" instruction, progressive wage increases, and a national credential.
