PUT A SMILE ON. In 2023, Grimace became a horror phenomenon thanks to the disturbing reactions on Tik-Tok to the Grimace Birthday Shake. But I've always found Grimace, and the McDonald's lore as a whole, to stem from a creepy place. From urban legends about the mascot to McDonald's creepypastas to other disturbing details, the Grimace Birthday Shake incident was the first time things got weird in McDonaldland.

Grimace was originally a villain known as The Evil Grimace who stole shakes and drinks from children, and as we comb over his history, more and more unsettling details come out.

In this video I'll be analyzing the entire history of Grimace, from his twisted origins, to his mysterious actions over the years, to his disappearance, and finally his sudden reappearance and rampage as a Tik-Tok horror icon.
