A symbol of elegance, beauty and speed, the Chippiparai and Kanni sighthounds from Tamil Nadu are widely appreciated by native dog lovers, all over the nation. Wanting to learn more about these breeds, I traveled to Thalhavaaipuram taluk in Virudhunagar district, to meet with Mr. Siva Siddhu.

An expert on this breed with extensive knowledge (I learnt that they are but a single breed), Siva has published a comprehensive write-up on these native sighthounds. He has also been acknowledged in 'The Book of Indian Dogs' by Mr. Theodore Baskaran for his noteworthy contribution of knowledge regarding the Chippiparai hounds.

I learnt a great deal about this fascinating breed and the people who keep it. Given the sheer amount of information that Mr. Siva dispensed, this 'Breed Focus' video has been broken into the following three parts:
