Joburg Ballet joins ballet companies from around the world to celebrate World Ballet Day 2022. Joburg Ballet’s World Ballet Day host will be artistic director Iain MacDonald who will be chatting to retired prima ballerina Burnise Silvius, principal dancers Shannon Glover, Nicole Ferreira and Monike Cristina, corps de ballet dancers Donavin Cicatello, Tumelo Lekana and Luhle Mtati, and Dineo Motimele and Jayden Samuels from the Joburg Ballet School. The programme will also feature a ballet class given by former principal dancer Anya Carstens and clips from onstage performances by the company in Swan Lake, The Sleeping Beauty, Giselle, La Traviata-The Ballet and Cinderella.
