Here are two tunes with a lot of repeated phrases. I have a soft spot for really repetitive tunes that seem simple.

There are (at least) two tunes in the world called The Longacre (or the Long Acre) and this one seems to be less well known than the other. I really like the way the phrases in the B part form a three-beat pattern across the bars of 4/4 in this one.

The Crooked Bridge is also known by many other names! (An Drochaid Chiiúiteach, An Drochaid Chliui, An Drochaid Chliutach, An Drochaid Chliùteach, An Drochaid Chluiteach, An Drochaid Cliuiteach, An Drochaid Cluideachd, An Drochaid Luideach, An Drochead Chluiteach, The Famous Bridge, The Twisted Bridge and The Twisted Fox.)

In my sheet music I've listed it as "The Twisted Bridge" but it seems that "The Crooked Bridge" is a bit more commonly used. This one's in 3/2. I thought it had a bit of a similar vibe to the Longacre so I've smooshed them together.

These are both in Volume 3 of my folk viola sheet music, which you can get from: https://www.folkviola.co.uk/tradition...
