It only took us two years, but we finally stayed at a Military FamCamp. I think we picked a good one to start with, White Sands Travelers Park on Whites Sands Missile Base. They have eight FHUs and 4 overflow sites, all of the overflows have 20/30/50 amps, no water or sewer, and are on the edge of the driveway.
You couldn't ask for a better view and the walking track is right next to the camp.
We highly recommend using FamCamps if you are eligible. You have to be VA rated at 10% or greater or be retired or active duty military.
