अगर semen analysis report को ध्यान से पढ़े तो कोई भी sperm count जो 15 million से ज्यादा हो या total sperm count 39 million से ज्यादा हो तो उसे normal sperm count कहा जाता है। ऐसे जांच करते वक्त पेशेंट को किसी अच्छे लेबोरेटरी से जांच करके लेनी चाहिए। अगर आपके रिपोर्ट्स दो बार से ज्यादा low sperm count दर्शाते है इसका मतलब आपको low sperm count है।

Low Sperm को तीन हिस्सों में बाट सकते है
- 10-15 million
- 5-10 million
- और 5 million से कम
Low Sperm count को medical भाषा में oligospermia कहा जाता है
-जिनका sperm count 5 million से कम होता है , उन्हें IVF/ICSI करवाने की जरुरत पड़ती है। और IVF में ऐसा sperm count होने के बावजूद 30-40% का रिजल्ट मिल सकता है।
- जिनका sperm count 5-10 million होता है , ऐसे में आपको और भी testing करनी चाहिए और आपके sperm borderline है तो ऐसे में IUI किया जाता है। IUI 4 बार से ज्यादा नहीं किया जा सकता।
- जिनका sperm count 10-15 million और 5-10 million है इन दोनों categories में antioxidant का उपयोग किया जाता है। यह सारी therapy आपको तीन - छे महीने केलिए करना चाहिए। इसके साथ कभी कभी parameter के हिसाब से टेस्ट करते है और उसके हिसाब से दवाइया दी जाती है।

यह सब करने के बाद ३-४ महीने बाद यह टेस्ट फिरसे दोहरानी चाहिए।
कभी कभी बुखार , covid , lifestyle modification , मोटापा इस कारण भी sperm count कम हो सकता है। अगर ऐसी कोई समस्या है जिसमे स्पर्म काउंट अच्छा है लेकिन motility नहीं है तो ऐसे में आपको fertility expert की सलाह लेनी चाहिए ताकि आपकी correct treatment हो |
