EA113 engine oil pump has well known manufacturing defect that can kill the engine without any warning signs. There are a few ways to get rid of potential problem - some adopt 1.9 TDI or 1.8T previous generation oil pump, but we are going to literally cut off the balance shaft out of the oil pump.

All credits for project inspiration to taco 8v (   / @taco8v  . Taco has a video describing all the process in details.

After cutting off the balance shafts, you need to close 3 oil channels (you can use a single long screw to close 2 of them and then one more more to seal up)

I have adapted a baffle plate from 1.8T / 1.9 TDI, had to cut it off so it fits together with shortened oil pump and make a new hole for a screw holding the baffle plate.
Intermediate plate / gasket can be cut off for the size of the "new" oil pump

Oil pump screws sequence:
1. Tighten bolts hand-tight.
2. Tighten bolts to 15 Nm.
3. Turn bolts 90° further.

Chain sprocket screw:
20 Nm + turn 90° further

After complete operation be aware that you need to put more oil, I haven't measured exactly but expect at least 1-1,5 liter more.
