Hey guys! Today we’re saying goodbye to Basel and splitting up for the next part of our journey. Chloe heads back to the French-speaking part of Switzerland, and the rest of us head to Germany!

Our next stop? The quaint little town of Heitersheim, where we stayed at a charming home exchange that came with some fun surprises—chickens to care for! 🐔 The train ride there was filled with beautiful countryside views (you know we love those!).

We spent a few days in Heitersheim, taking in the quiet village life and living like the locals. Julia and Angelique stayed only a couple nights before returning to Switzerland for a camp up in the stunning Valais region.

Meanwhile, Tyler and I took a fun day trip to Freiburg. There, we wandered through the lovely streets, enjoyed a classic German meal, and ended the day with a movie at the local cinema. 🎥 To our surprise, the German trains weren’t running on schedule, and our return train was replaced by a bus! So, our 11:45 PM train ended up getting us home at 2:30 AM! 😅

It was such a great mix of relaxation, new experiences, and, of course, a few laughs!
