On this warm Veteran's Day evening, the Amtrak Southwest Chief stops at the platform on track three. The Chief is making it's first stop after leaving Los Angeles Union Passenger Terminal 30 miles earlier. This train is eastbound headed for Chicago 2,235 distant.
After leaving San Diego the hours earlier, the westbound Amtrak Pacific Surfliner is making it's last stop. The train's westward terminus of Los Angeles Union Passenger Terminal is 30 miles distant.
