On his second day in Kyoto, James woke up early and planned his itinerary around Kiyomizu-dera. After checking Google, he decided that taking the bus would be faster. Since Kyoto is an ancient city, the subway system isn’t as convenient as in Tokyo or Osaka, so using buses or Uber is quite a practical transportation option. The path in front of Hōkan-ji Temple is very beautiful and perfect for photos, with unique little shops along the way. There are even more stores around Ninenzaka, which are great for browsing. Kiyomizu-dera remains as stunning and majestic as ever, but unfortunately, the weather was too hot to stay for long. In the afternoon, he headed to Kawaramachi, where many trendy brands gather, making it a great place to shop. When he got hungry, he went to Nishiki Market for some food and drinks. After a break, he found a Blue Bottle café that collaborated with Human Made nearby, which is definitely worth a visit!
