Strong in Numbers is a celebration of the power of those voices and bodies that resist oppression, unjust silencing and suppression. It is a call for a better world fit for future generations.
But while the sentiments that Moya (also the lead singer with Clannad) expresses in this song are deadly serious, the music pulses with true Irish vigour. With his accordion playing, Liam O'Connor (Lord of the Dance original cast) lifts the song to an Irish-dance anthem with his breathless musicianship.
The song marks a coming together of two prominent Irish musical families - Moya's daughter and son, Aisling and Paul play on the track while her husband, Tim, co-wrote the song and plays cello. Liam's daughter, Saoirse, and son, Oisin, complete the line up along with Irish flute virtuoso, Eamonn De Barra.
