Lynn Manwar was, by all accounts, a cancer conqueror to the very end. She passed away September 28, 2015

Lyn battled the disease nearly half her life, but friends and family members of the 42-year-old Rotarian said Manwar never once let cancer define her, nor her 18-year struggle with the disease hold her back from achieving anything she set her mind to.

After university graduation, Lynn worked overseas with the Japan Exchange Teaching Program during the Nagano Winter Olympics(1997-1998). She has done sales work for Bell Distribution Inc.(1999-2001) and Future Executive Personnel (now FEP Search Group)(2001-2003).

In 2003, her career moved in a different direction working with non-profit organizations in Toronto such as Jyafest Arts Collective(2004), Pride Toronto(2005), ReelWorld Film Festival(2006), Fantasy Film Festival(2006), ARCfest(2006) and Junction Arts Festival(2007) as volunteer coordinator and recruiter.

Talent Detective Inc., was launched in 2006 as a staffing and consulting firm.

She launched Wellness Detective in 2011, an online business dedicated to providing health and wellness solutions.

She has been featured in media such as Metro, Anokhi Magazine, Desi News, Eye Weekly, Masalamommas.com, The Bulletin, Suhaag.com, thatchannel.com and Good News Toronto. Her TV debut was as a makeover candidate on "Style by Jury" on W Network in Canada in 2007. She was featured on "Badhai Ho" on OMNI TV in June 2012.
