There are two assembly seats in Lakhisarai district that are Lakhisarai and Suryagarh. A Labor Resource Minister and BJP candidate Vijay Kumar Sinha is in the election battle. He has won the seat for two consecutive terms. Congress has named Amresh Kumar for the seat. Kumar was a JDU leader who shifted to Congress some time back.
