A beautifully rigged French frigate will be visiting a number of our east coast cities over the course of the summer in commemoration of M. de Lafayette's journey in 1780 to inform Washington that he (and the American diplomats) had been able to procure 5,500 French soldiers and 5 frigates for the American cause.
