Every year, I embark on some "big" railfan trip that is meant to see things that are unique, rare, lesser seen and just downright cool. This year, the location of choice is the Chicago region.

After visiting briefly in 2023, I knew I wanted a redo covering more states and more territory that surrounds America's railfanning Mecca. This video serves as a preview to a set of 9 separate episodes of railfanning over my entire 8 day span in America's Heartland, the first airing this coming Friday.
