The Black Forest in Germany certainly holds some unexplained secrets from a presumably distant past. In antiquity, it was also known as Abnoba Mons, named after the Celtic goddess Abnoba. For an extended period, science assumed that the settlement of its heights began late, sporadically from the 10th century AD. However, recent findings suggest that this occurred much earlier, namely in prehistoric times.
Today we are going on a search for traces in the district of Freudenstadt, which is part of the northern Black Forest region. Join me as we pass by old walls and a historic border path to an enigmatic rock formation.
