Hi everyone my name is Masud and in today’s video I’ll be sharing a few secret tips on how you can become a sports physiotherapist.

To become a sports physio (in the U.K. I can only speak about*) you need to complete a physiotherapy degree initially.

Whilst you are a student I’d be looking to get your foot in the door messaging clubs in places you’re interested in working.

Try to shadow the other therapists and pick their brains.

Make them your friends and keep them close.

Once you have completed your degree, you can look to gain employment at that club (whatever sport it is) if they are big enough to pay you a salary.

Then you work your way up the ranks from junior physio to senior etc. - this might mean you start with younger players/team/athletes then as your exp and time with the club grows you’ll move on to more senior athletes..

You can also complete masters physios courses to help you specialise and allow you stand out after your initial physios bachelors course.
