In this video we do the trip south along the west coast, to Getterön and Morups Tånge. First stop is Getterön, where we try to see the Spoonbill, now a yearly visitor. This time it had landed on a bad spot, for birders i e almost totally out of sight. There wasn't much to see from the blinds, so we didn't linger long. The Sand Martin colony was in the early stages of breeding, we enjoyed their adorable antics for quite a while.
Then we took a lunchbreak in the Naturum's cantina, before continuing our tour south.
At Morups Tånge we took the usual walk down to the sea, where we sat down on the grass and had a Avocet-stakeout. We had a pair foraging close'ish and the photos and videos could have turned out great... where it not for the awful heat haze. The photos were useless, and we threw almost all of them away. The video clips worked better, it doesn't matter as much seeing the birds behind air shimmer.
We walked along the shore, and enjoyed the birds we encountered along the way: Eurasian Curlew, Oystercatcher, Common Shelduck, Sandwich Tern, Little Tern, Northern Lapwing, Common Ringed Plover, Great Cormorant, Linnet, Ruff and Dunlin.
