Detaching from others as an empath can be so difficult because we understand people in intimate ways. And a lot times that hinders our discernment. I realize sometimes our empathic personality can draw the wrong people, places, or situations to us, and sometimes we take too long to create boundaries or completely terminate the relationship until it becomes too heavy or toxic for us to handle.
This Season of surrender completely eliminated the people and situations whose season was up in my life. It was imperative for it to happen for the evolution of me. I was continuously allowing people to drink from my cup without replenishing it. So I’m in this season where no one is allowed to drink from my well unless it’s from a place of overflow.
