1935 Batten Special

A Heavily modified 1932 Ford Chassis with a Ford Side Valve V8, offering 175 Bhp and 275 FT/LB of tourque.
Constructed by Jim Batten, proprietor of the Beckenham Motor Company.
The car won at Brooklands on its first outing by 3/4 mile!

Not a traditional hot rod in the truest sense, but a car that just oozes tradition. A car built in England in 1935 that utilises a modified 1932 Ford frame, a flathead of 1939 vintage and has genuine Brooklands racing pedigree to boot.

Engine: V8

Displacement: 3622 cc

Weight: 2180 pounds (940 kg)

Owner: Neil Bennett

Registration: CKR 191

HOT RODDING IS NOT A CRIME
