Project Name Four laning of SH – 27 between Indore & Ichhapur up to MP/MH border
About the Project The proposed project road is a State Highway which also acts as a link road going
upto Maharashtra border. The road passes through Indore, Khargone,
Khandwa&Burhanpur districts connecting Indore, Simrol, Badwah, Sangwad,
Deshgaon, Goregaon, Burhanpur, Shahpur & Ichhapur.

substantial traffic is expected to use the road after the expansion of road to four
lane as this road is the shortest route that connects Indore with Maharashtra.

Salient features of the project are:
• Expansion work starts at BhawarKuwaChouraha, Indore and ends at
Ichhapur.
• Existing two lane shall be reconstructed to four lane with paved shoulder
with in proposed ROW of 36m width in built-up and 45m width in rural
open country area
• Total length of the four lane road is around 199 KM with 1.5m paved
and 1m hard shoulder.
• 5 new major bridges have been planned and one bridge is proposed for
reconstruction and 3 bridges for renovation
• 28 nos. of bus shelters is planned along the state highway
• 3 nos. of truck lay bays on each side is envisaged
• Total 4 nos. of toll plazas planned with one highway patrol, ambulance
and crane at each toll plaza
• 74 nos. of minor bridges which includes new construction and
renovations of old bridges
• 26 nos. of major and 68 nos. of minor junctions planned
• 02 nos. each of Vehicular over pass & Rail over bridge planned
• 10 trees to be planted for every tree that will be cut for construction
• All necessary clearances from Railways, Environmental clearance will be
obtained by MPRDC as condition precedent.
• Apart from the existing available land of 329.31 Hect, additional land of
494.15 hectare shall be acquired for four lane with paved shoulder
wherever necessary. Land acquisition process is in progress.

• Total project cost is estimated at INR 2258.84 Crwith the developer’s
contribution is estimated at INR 1728.27 Cr
• Govt. of M.P. to provide grant on competitive bidding basis and shall
bear cost of Land Acquisition and utility shifting.
• 40% viability gap funding with 20% contribution from Government of
India and remaining from Government of Madhya Pradesh
• The Debt-Equity ratio shall be 70:30
• The revenue for concessionaire is generated by collecting Toll
• A construction period of 730 Days is envisaged
• The Concession period has been estimated at 30 Years including 3 years
of Construction period
