Hiking at Wadi Shab is definitely worth the effort. I would suggest going early in the morning to beat the rush. We were very lucky we had the place essentially all to ourselves. As well, the terrain is very unique, unlike any other place I have been, which makes it a special place to check out. Also, another bit of advice I would offer, is perhaps thinking twice if there has been any recent rain, as the massive bolder's and uneven rocky paths would make it significantly more challenging and potentially hazardous. So just be careful, go slow, and enjoy the scenery!
