Saturday 25th to Monday 27th May saw the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway hold its annual Spring Gala and this years theme was 'Western Workhorses'. The event was a very special one with the first appearance in Preservation of GWR new build 6880 Betton Grange Society Ltd. The Grange arrived about a week before the gala, and full credit must go the volunteers in the Motive power department for getting the Grange running and completing the gala. Other visitors were WSR Mogul 9351 and Didcot's 2999 Lady Of Legend, along with the lines home fleet.

This video starts with some shed scenes around Toddington and then includes sone of my favourites featuring 6880, 2999, 9351, 2807 and 7903.

A fantastic event though, which I enjoyed alot being a Western man. The event was well supported, especially on the Saturday and credit to everyone on the railway for producing such a fantastic gala. It was also great seeing the Grange in action after its long awaited appearance.
