I feel like I come off as though I dislike the original movie but I honestly don't - I just don't see it in the same light as other people, it seems. I appreciate the messages and I enjoy it overall. The sequel, however, while I didn't dislike it as such, is lacking in the same level of creativity. I've seen a lot of opinions online claiming it to be a stellar return to form for Pixar but in my opinion, it's an average sequel at best and largely a rehash.

Please remember these are my opinions and if you loved the movie, that's great. I just have some issues that hinder it from being a classic in my eyes.

Also, this video might look a little more unpolished compared to the usual as I had to use clips from trailers and had a very limited selection. As such, you'll find some clips are reused but I tried to vary it as much as possible!

Note: At 12:24, I feel I should probably have elaborated on this to explain my perspective. I'm aware Joy isn't rejecting emotions here, but learning to accept all emotions is basically the same lesson as learning to accept good and bad memories, so it feels as though Joy's character arc has been partially retconned despite the fact that she acknowledges Sadness.
