This is my second video on Mt. Roberts, this one in the snow with friends Marianne and Gordon. As usual it did not dissapoint! Mt. Roberts is one of my favorite short hikes in NH. It’s closer to home than any of the 4k’s, it’s a relatively easy hike with pleasant footing for the most part and has magnificent views of Lake Winnipesauke from its many open ledges while ascending and descending. It is on the 52 With A View list in NH. It’s part of the Ossipee Range and is located by Castle in the Clouds, Moultonborough NH. It’s a 5 mile out and back. The summit also affords a fine view of the Sandwich Range and mountains to the north. If conditions are right you can see Mount Washington. It also connects to a network of trails and peaks throughout the Castle in the Clouds Conservation area should you opt for a longer hike.
