The song "Angi uria Betikama"( Crying to go to Betikama) is sung in Lau Dialect, Malaita Province by the Kids of Niuleni Village, Lau Lagoon, North East Malaita, Solomon Islands. This 1960's song was the cry of a young primary school girl wanting to further her Education at Betikama School in the capital, Honiara. However, her parents wanted her to get married instead - for a "Brideprice". Times have changed now and so as Education for girls in this community.
