You can finally get to Don Mueang Airport from the BTS system in Bangkok. No need to take a taxi and sit in traffic for hours, or wait for some random bus at Mo Chit ► https://www.edgeofdavid.com/train-to-...

Getting to DMK is simple enough now, budget about 1.5 hours though as it does take time. You'll need to ride the BTS to Asoke station, from there board the MRT. If you're an American with a Visa credit card you can just pay for the MRT with that.

Once on the MRT, you'll want to get off at Bang Sue station because that is where the red line is. So exit, and walk to the red line. If you need help, just ask the staff. The red line costs 20 Baht, once you're on it get off at Don Mueang station.

Done! From Dong Mueang station on the red line it is a bit of a walk, but nothing unreasonable. It's ideal if you have a backpack or a small amount of luggage.

Overall it's an easy, cost effective way of getting to DMK. No need to take a taxi or wait for a bus.
