Polarized lenses make seeing much easier in bright and glary conditions.

We offer 2 brands of polarized lenses: Adnuo® Standard and NuPolar® by Younger Optics. Which one is right for you?

To determine that, let us first explain what makes a good polarized lens.

Polarizing efficiency, the amount of glare that is blocked, is the most important characteristic to look for.

A thin foil inside the lens is responsible for this polarizing effect. There is a large quality and price difference between various types of polarizing foils and lens production methods.

Foil placement is tricky and critical, and needs to be within .4 to .8 mm from the front of the lens for maximum optical clarity.

The ability to chemically adhere the polarizing film to the lens and keep from separating is important for the longevity of the lens.

Extended exposure to heat can change the color hue and intensity of the lenses, so color stability is crucial to proper long term usability.

Let's compare the Adnuo® and NuPolar® lenses.

Adnuo® Standard polarized lenses provide a good experience for occasional users at a very affordable price.

For intensive users or people who demand the best, we recommend NuPolar® lenses. These are simply a few notches above Adnuo® Standard polarized lenses.

Additionally, maximum darkness of standard colors for NuPolar lenses is higher than the maximum for Adnuo.

Both NuPolar and Adnuo lenses can be tinted up to 85% darkness for a small fee.
