Seven Very Rare Heartbreakers from Sam Williams- Love Slipped Through My Fingers, to Big Lee Dowell- What Did I Do Wrong (A Fantastic track recorded in the 70's and orchestrated in 2016 by Cannonball records - A current label to watch!) Plus...

Plus Brenda Jones- Big Mistake, Tony Clarke- Wrong Man, Joe Valentine- I Lost The Only Love I Ever Had, Sy Hightower- I Know You're Leaving Me and Brand New- Thousand Years.

I've collected, DJ'd and danced to Northern Soul since going to Wigan Casino in the late 1970's. These recordings are made so that long into the future, anyone can visit YouTube and continue to learn about and listen to this fantastic music, after I'm gone. They were recorded in the USA at a period in time when sadly overlooked. Only to be discovered and played in the 1970's soul clubs of the UK, and now played in many venues in countries all over the world. Many are recorded on obscure record labels, that simply never got airplay and the small number of records that were pressed, just disappeared. Hence their rarity.

If you wish to find out more about the fantastic and varied world of Northern Soul, search out the website - SoulSource. I warn you though, once down the rabbit hole, you could be hooked. I have no affiliation to the site, but there you will find a wealth of knowledge from dedicated lovers of the music. Together they know every artist, band member, pressing plant, label, label owner and origin of every track. Some so knowledgable that they can even tell you who the third saxophonist on the left was on some of the recordings. Others on the rare soul scene though may argue that it was his brother! Whoever is right, Northern Soul fascinates and satisfies many over 50years on.
