Today is Tuesday, March 23, 2021, and I'm taking the Rebel 1100 DCT for another work commute and some playtime on the back roads. Skip to the end of the description for clickable time indexes. #rebel1100 #rebel1100dct #cmx1100

I started the day with work on my mind, but I ended up riding the latter part of the afternoon for relaxation. The Rebel is out of its break-in period now, so I'm starting to play with the DCT modes and wring it out a little more. The 1100's torque is very easy to use and the DCT's ride modes let you pick how sedate or aggressive you prefer the shifts and throttle profiles to be. I will continue to use this modified "rain" mode that another YouTube viewer and Rebel 1100 DCT owner suggested to me... it seems to work very well! Thanks for that info, Rob! 😉👍

The fuel economy seems to be doing very well so far with stop-and-go commuting, returning an average of 42 US MPG. My mixed commute and back road ride today yielded a respectable 46.1 US MPG across 120 miles. At that rate, my total autonomy would have been ~165 miles to a full tank. I think the Rebel might be capable of 175 miles to a tank and nearly 50 MPG if it's ridden conservatively.
