Driven by a desire to create tangible change globally, Malea Benjamin recognized UA as the platform to wield her tools for impact. In her multifaceted roles within the Student Government Association, the Blackburn Institute, and the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life, particularly through her sorority Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Benjamin advocates tirelessly for every student. Her mission is to ensure that each student is seen, heard, and celebrated. Her commitment to bridging community gaps among students serves as a powerful reminder to her peers: students can and should be advocates for one another, ensuring that every student finds their rightful place at UA.
