Being consistent on its own can be hard, right? But what happens when your mental health illness gets in the way of you being consistent with your goals and dreams. Do you simply choose to give up? I hope the answer for you is NO! So, then what do you do when you don’t have the motivation to keep going on those hard days, well today I share a little bit of my story behind trying to stay consistent while dealing with my own depression. How I felt like I needed to show up when I didn’t want to and how I felt like I would be letting people down if I didn’t get myself moving. But how taking sometime off to take care of myself was so much better then pushing myself to the edge of no return. How many of us have tired to keep going even when we don’t feel like it and how many of us have lost the passion we had for those goals and dreams because you’ve pushed ourselves to show up when we shouldn’t have? Here’s another question to ask yourself, have you ever felt burned out because instead of listening to what your body needs, you instead keep pushing until you can’t push no more. One of the biggest strengths so far this year has been so listening to my body when it’s telling me to slow down and take a rest even when I didn’t want too. Because I now know that if I would have pushed myself to record the original episode I want to record instead of taking the time off, it wouldn’t have come out the way I wanted it to and the message behind it wouldn’t have been as strong. So, I want you to remember that being consistent in life is going to look different for everyone.

So, what’s consistent look like for you??
