四十二份坪步道位於苗栗縣南庄鄉蓬來村，從124縣道約36.8K的岔路口下行，在「南庄晶華」民宿招牌右轉，下行不久即抵達四十二份坪步道免費停車場。步道入口就在停車場旁。
四十二份坪步道環繞蓬來溪上游支流的兩岸，環繞一圈回到停車場，大約半個小時以內就可以輕鬆走完。步道終點為四十二份湧泉，為天然湧出的山泉，常年維持18度，湧泉池有許多魚。步道終點設有觀景平台，旁有小徑通往溪谷。附近有小橋通往對岸的步道，對岸沿途有一座荷花池，也有一個煤礦遺跡。
四十二份坪步道路線簡短，輕鬆好走，是一條適合親子健行的步道。

Forty-two Ping Trail is located in Penglai Village, Nanzhuang Township, Miaoli County. Go down from the 36.8K fork of County Road 124 and turn right at the sign of "Nanzhuang Jinghua" Guesthouse. You will arrive at the free parking lot of Forty-two Ping Trail. The entrance of the trail is next to the parking lot.
The Forty-two Ping Trail surrounds the two banks of the upper tributary of Penglai River and returns to the parking lot in a circular route. It can be easily completed in about half an hour. The trail ends is the Forty-two Spring which is a natural springs always maintain 18 degrees all year round. There are many fish in the spring pool. There is a viewing platform at the end of the trail, and a trail leads to the valley next to it. There is a small bridge near the viwing platform leading to the opposite bank, along the opposite bank there is a lotus pond and there is also a coal mine remains.
Forty-two Ping Trail is short and easy to walk. It is a trail suitable for parent-child hiking.

★大眾運輸：從南庄搭乘苗栗客運5822（南庄-仙山靈洞宮)至綠色山莊站，步行約600公尺至四十二份坪步道入口。沿途有四十二份坪步道指標。
★自行開車：Google地圖衛星導航輸入「苗栗縣南庄鄉南庄晶華」，抵達南庄晶華，即可看見四十份坪步道指標，續行約100多公尺，即抵達四十二份坪步道停車場。
★Public transportation: Take the Miaoli Bus 5822 (Nanzhuang-Xianshan Lingdong Temple) from Nanzhuang to Green Villa Stop, and walk about 600 meters to the entrance of the Forty-two Ping Trail. There are forty-two Ping Trail indicators along the way.
★Drive by yourself: Enter "Nanzhuang Jinghua, Nanzhuang Township, Miaoli County" on Google Maps satellite navigation. When you arrive at Nanzhuang Jinghua, you will see the Forty-two Ping Trail indicator. Continue for about more 100 meters and you will reach the Forty-two Ping Trail parking lot.
