The helmet took me over 3 months to finally finish from work to lack of smooth cast suppliers I saw no reason to make the mold until now. The helmet was designed by Akira-Yuming who has made other impressive 3d files for sale if interested link is available. The biggest change to this mold was the addition of more silicone on the dome and edges and registration keys being added to the middle of the mold to prevent any dents occurring on the dome of the cast as seen in my mandalorian casts. I used only one set of free form for the mothermold with a good amount left over in case of future use. For the thy-vex I have had this material since January and haven't used it since I can recommend it if only to make the mold making experience less tedious with runny silicone. I printed the helmet I used for casting in pla at 200 on the nozzle for the cr-10 the helmet was scaled down to 94% of it's original size to better fit the average sized head of an adult. The helmet wasn't perfect but it was good enough for me to make a better mold from my previous attempts. I intentionally didn't add an ear piece to the helmet to allow me to choose whether or not this could be a commando or standard clone trooper. I will most likely make more animated clone trooper helmets in the future so if you have a clone trooper you want me to make later on go right ahead and comment it down. I thank you all for your patience and support to the channel and I hope to have new helmets out soon until the next video have a good one.
