2 Creamy Sides That You Will Love

Creamed Brussel Sprouts

½ pound of sliced bacon chopped into bite sized pieces
2 pounds of brussel sprouts cleaned
1 shallot diced fine
2 cloves of garlic minced
2 TBSPS flour
4 TBSPS of butter
½ tsp fresh thyme (optional)
Pinch of cayenne (optional)
2 cups of heavy cream
½ cup sour cream
1 ½ cups to 2 cups mozzarella cheese
½ cup panko bread crumbs
¼ cup parmesan cheese

In a large frying pan fry the bacon until it is crispy and then remove it from the pan and add the brussel sprouts.

Meanwhile, dice the shallot, mince the garlic and chop the thyme. Remove the brussell sprouts to a 9 X 13-inch baking dish. In the same frying pan add the butter and shallots and begin to sweat them down, about 1 minute and then add the garlic and thyme. Add the flour and allow to cook for 1 to 2 minutes to get rid of the flour taste. Slowly add the cream stirring constantly until well absorbed. Add the sour cream. Once its well mixed shut it off and pour over the brussel sprouts in the pan. Top with the cheese and then combine the panko and parmesan to finish the whole thing off. Bake in a 400 degree oven for 25 to 30 minutes or a 375 degree oven for 30 to 35 minutes.

Creamy Corn

1 26 ounce bag of corn niblets
4 ounces of cream cheese
½ cup of heavy cream
S & P

Mix all the ingredients together and bake in a 400 degree oven about 30 minutes or until bubbly in the middle.
