In August 2021 I completed a backpacking trip with epic views in the Ansel Adams wilderness of the Eastern Sierra. Starting at Agnew Meadows, I hiked along the Shadow Lake trail and camped at Lake Ediza. The next day, I started a cross-country portion of the route that I had been hoping to do for a couple of years. I was a little nervous to go alone but ended up linking up with another solo female traveller to work together to navigate the challenges of the day.
