Personal Reflection: Manoah and his wife expressed their disappointment with Samson’s desire to marry a Philistine woman. They likely feared that his choice would lead him away from his Nazarite vow. As parents, we often experience similar feelings — disappointment and worry over our children’s actions. Or it might be a personal situation we’re going through, where we do not know or comprehend God’s purpose or reason, leaving us troubled. However, if we truly know and trust in God’s wisdom and sovereignty, we will struggle less, finding rest in Him. Manoah and his wife were unaware of God’s greater plan behind Samson’s choice (Judges 14:4). May the Lord grant us perseverance to trust in Him fully.

Judges 14 - Samson said to them, “Let me tell you a riddle. If you solve my riddle during these seven days of the celebration, I will give you thirty fine linen robes and thirty sets of festive clothing. But if you can’t solve it, then you must give me thirty fine linen robes and thirty sets of festive clothing.”
“All right,” they agreed, “let’s hear your riddle.” So, he said: “Out of the one who eats came something to eat; out of the strong came something sweet.” What is it?
