I've had some good recent experiences playing with a Fender 57 Custom Champ (reissue) and a Fender Princeton Reverb 65 (reissue). As it happens, I found those to be sort of one (very good, mind you) trick ponies - and obviously the smaller enclosures don't always cope well with volume or drive pedals.

I was asked if the California Tweed from Mesa Boogie can get close to these tones, and so in this video that was the goal. We have a 2 watt 00:53 and 10 watt 06:13 setting so those are what I decided to use to get close to that small Fender Champ/Princeton kind of vibe.
