Part of a quarter peal (45 minutes continous bellringing) rung at St. Philip's Cathedral Birmingham on New Year's Eve 2017.

The cathedral has 12 bells, but just bells 7 - 11 are being used here, giving a ring of 5 in a minor key. Minor key bellringing is rarely done, but New Year's Eve is a day when it is common. (Switching back to a major key after midnight.)

The cathedral bells are very grand, and sadly the sound quality in the video doesn't do them justice. (This was recorded on a small portable device.) However it still nicely shows the effect of a heavy ring of 5 bells being rung well to a stately pace
