Alexander Sergeevich Taneyev is a little-known and modest Russian amateur composer. Mr. Taneev was an employee of the Russian imperial court and his daughter was the closest friend of the last Russian empress. In this connection, during several coups d'état (in 1917 and 1918) Anna Aleksandrovna Vyrubova (Taneyeva) was regularly arrested, interrogated, humiliated, robbed and miraculously escaped rape.

The revolutionary times were so rotten that sometimes she even had to hide in basements where beggars lived, whom she herself had previously helped to survive.
From the revolutionary nightmare and from the sadists, Anna Alexandrovna managed to escape to Finland, which had separated from the Russian Empire, where she ended her difficult life. And the composer Taneyev died or was killed in the bloody revolutionary 1918.
Unfortunately, not all audio recordings of Alexander Sergeevich's works can be found in the public domain today. And in general, after the fall of the nationalless socialist regime, we are restoring bit by bit our national history and grieving over Russia killed by red rootless terrorists.
